Description 1972 Shadow DN2-T1. The ONLY twin turbo shadow ever produced. Signed “100% Shadow, Don Nichols”. Built by Don Nichols to challenge the turbocharged Porsche 917 in the Can-Am Championship. Designed by Tony Southgate and raced by Jackie Oliver and Vic Elford during the 1973 season. It has a 494 ci, 8.1 liter Reynolds Big Block Chevrolet engine with Schweitzer twin turbos and Bendix fuel injection system. Fully sorted and restored in 2009. Not raced since restoration.

Designed by Tony Southgate and raced by Jackie Oliver and Vic Elford during the 1973 season. Raced at Road America, Laguna Seca and Riverside. Complete ownership history from Don Nichols to present

  1. I saw the car raced in Historic Laguna Seca races by the owner of El Paso foods. It was too much car he went down the straight and off at the end covering the car in dirt and dust. When the driver finally got enough experience with the car I finally got to see what a beast it is the sound is really big.
