1971 Porsche 911 911T Targa
1971 Porsche 911T Targa, 2.2 liter engine, 5 speed manual gearbox. Weber carburetors. All original, matching numbers. 113,000 miles. Has A/C but missing compressor. The last owner had it since 1991. It was painted three years ago, looks pretty fresh but it was not a very expensive paint job. Some bodywork has been done on the front. The hood does not close as the latch is misaligned due to a minor accident in the past. A poor quality rust repair has been done in the trunk area and the rockers but the floors are good and solid. It does have some bondo on the fenders.
All the glass is good. The car has the desirable Fuchs wheels. Good tires. All the electrics seem to be in working order except for the turn signals which are not working.
The interior is all original and useable as is but a little tired looking. The dashboard is good with no cracks. It has a brand new Targa top which was put on just last year. Needs all new carpets.
The car runs and drives but it smokes. The engine is on the weak side with some leaks.
I have many more pictures available upon request. Please feel free to come and inspect the car before you purchase.
Any questions welcome.
Value: $20,000 – 25,000
Comment: A good cheap way to get into Porsche motoring, especially if you have the skills to do the work yourself.
